Saif Ali Khan makes a cameo in Kjo’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’

Saif Ali Khan has shot a cameo for Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. After Fawad Khan, Karan has roped in Saif to make special appearance in his upcoming film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the pivotal role.

The ‘Phantom’ actor has already shot his part abroad. The film also stars Imran khan, Fawad and Saif, Lisa Haydon in the special role.

Dealing with relationship and heartbreaks, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ marks Karan’s return to direction three years after ‘Student of the year’ in 2012. It is Aishwarya’s second comeback film after ‘Jazbaa’.

The film is being shot in Delhi, London and Paris.

Saif wraps up his part of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil shoot in London

It was reported not long ago that Karan Johar had finally convinced Saif Ali Khan to do a cameo for his much-awaited film, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The team had been in Austria until just a few days ago but have now returned to London. Saif has been shooting for the film and thus he is the newest actor to join the already glitzy cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan, Imran Abbas and Lisa Haydon. Saif was spotted arriving at the London airport over the weekend, apparently, all set to begin work on his cameo in the film. As per a reliable source, Saif has been shooting with two of the film’s lead actors – Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Shoreditch, which is where the film was previously being shot during its London schedule.

Our source suggests that Saif has already wrapped up shooting for his part of the movie.

Now looks like we have three cameos - Imran Abbas, Lisa Haydon and Saif Ali Khan in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', which is slated for Diwali 2016 release. Karan first worked with Saif in 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and later in 'Kurbaan', both produced by Dharma Productions.

Saif Ali Khan: I’m half-Bengali! I love phuchkas and I love fish!

Saif Ali Khan doesn’t follow fads. He feels that it’s not necessary for an actor to have a great body and six-pack abs just for show, “It depends on your role. Off screen, we are lucky that we are in a profession that encourages fitness because we tend to look better. I have never been fitness-conscious, especially when I started out but then it was a different time. Now, in India, I think people are quite fitness-obsessed and moving away the from junk or unhealthy food like parathas and pizzas. They are trying to follow healthy eating patterns which is important. As far as staying fit is concerned, it’s all a habit. Sometimes it’s easier to stay fit when you are not working. During work I follow a strict regimented style of diet and exercise. It’s difficult to work out and diet always. You can easily diet, work out and sleep early when you are not working. There is all the time in the world to get it right. The idea is not to be hungry. I find if I’m hungry I start running to eat junk. Then I start eating anything from phuchkas (paanipuri) to bhelpuri.”

Suggest that paanipuri and bhelpuri seems quite unlike him and Saif laughs, “I’m half-Bengali! I love phuchkas and I love fish.” The Nawab can cook too. “I can’t cook may dishes but yes, I can whip up a good spaghetti and some egg dishes. If I’m alone I can manage.” And between biwiKareena and him, Saif admits that he is the better cook. “I haven’t seen Kareena cook anything, except some scrambled eggs once. Though I think she’s vegetarian…” Why not sure, Saifoo?

Why has Saif Ali Khan quit 3 projects?

Kareena Kapoor Khan has become notorious for agreeing to do films and then abandoning them. Now her husbandSaif Ali Khan seems to have adopted a similar style of functioning. 

Last year, he pulled a Bebo on Vikramaditya Motwane’s  AK Vs SK and Sujoy Ghosh’s The Devotion of Suspect X. This year he turned his back on  Sameer Sharma’s Jugalbandi produced by Salman Khan.  

To be fair, Saif is re-evaluating his choices after his last few films didn’t work at the box-office. And none of his films had progressed to shooting stage when he walked out. Right now, Saif is choosing to work with directors he has  already worked with like Vishal Bhardwaj for Rangoon. With regards to Jugalbandi, Saif has claimed that he had date issues.”

When quizzed about walking out of the film’s he had committed to, he says, “I haven’t walked out of these films. To say that is being too dramatic! You are offered films, some work out and some you don’t want to do. Sometimes it’s wrong to discuss what other people are doing. For one reason or another, it’s not meant to be.”

When told that he and his wife Kareena had been given the nick of the walkout couple — Saif gets upset, “That’s ridiculous! I think there’s too much talk and a lot of premature announcements are made. Nobody’s walking out of a film. Walking out of a film is when you are all set to go and then you dump the project. Sounds terrible! But nobody does that. I have never done that. I’ve never walked out of a film after I signed it. You come and discuss films, some work out but some don’t. So many films are offered to so many people who reject them but they don’t make the press every time. Wrong people talk sometimes, sometimes people announce prematurely... It’s quite a small industry and word gets out.”

Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan to start shooting for 'Rangoon'

A source says, "There is a lot of buzz around the film considering that Shahid and Saif are a part of it (Shahid was in a relationship with Saif's wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan). We are soon going to Arunachal Pradesh to film a few scenes. It will be interesting to see their on-screen chemistry." "Kangana Ranaut, who plays the leading lady in this love story set in the World War era, is expected to join us a little later," adds the source. Another source says, "Getting the two actors together for a film was a big casting coup. However, they have so far been cordial with each other. Even when Saif visited the set of a reality show where Shahid was one of the judges, the two maintained safe distance but were eventually seen chatting. Now, we hope that there won't be any issues between them while working on the film, considering their roles are very different."

Where Are Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan Holidaying?

We've previously been treated to some awesome holiday pictures of the Pataudi clan. From azure skies and emerald oceans of the Maldives to the icy sidewalks of a lively London, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali and the family have looked glamourous to the hilt and very sportingly shared the pics with their fans on social media. 

However, the recent picture we've stumbled upon shows the couple chilling out in their kolahpuris, shorts and palazzos and posing with a fan as well. Saif and Bebo look hot as usual! We're dying to know though where they've headed this time....any clues???

Saif Ali Khan signed for Prabhu Deva’s next?

Although ‘Singh is Bliing’ only released today, director Prabhu Deva has already started working on his forthcoming film. News has it that Saif Ali Khan has been signed in the male lead role.

Ekta Kapoor will be producing the film. A source spoke to Absolute India, “Saif will portray the role of a police officer in the film. The actor will have a different look in the action flick that has been finalised few weeks back”.

Khan will also be seen in ‘Rangoon’ with Shahid Kapoor and Kangna Ranaut. He was appreciated in his last film which was Kabir Khan directed ‘Phantom’ (2015).
