Saif Ali Khan signs his next

Jon Favreau, the director of blockbuster films like the Iron Man series and the Avengers franchise is no stranger to success. Hence, it came as no surprise when his 2014 breakthrough film, Chef was much appreciated by critics and the masses alike.
 
The hit film is all set to get its Hindi remake, which will star Saif Ali Khan in Jon Favreau's role. The movie will be scripted in a way as to appeal to Indian sentiments (and taste buds) while keeping the basic idea of the original intact.
 
The Hindi adaptation will be produced by Abundantia Entertainment, Eros International and Alumbra Entertainment.

Shahid-Saif-Kangana's Rangoon: And it's Take One for Vishal Bhardwaj's next

The cameras have begun rolling for Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut's Rangoon. It was Take One for the Vishal Bhardwaj film on November 18, which marked producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Warda Nadiadwala's anniversary.

From what is known about Rangoon yet, the film is to star Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor, who are caught in a love triangle, against the backdrop of World War II. Vishal Bhardwaj had earlier been quoted as saying that the film would be something along the lines of Casablanca, the 1942 Hollywood classic starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid. The Michael Curtiz-directed film had achieved the status of a cult, thanks to - well, everything about it.

"It is a period film, during the World War II in the 1940s. Like Casablanca it is a love-triangle but it is in no way inspired or adapted from any film. It is an original work,"Bhardwaj had been quoted as saying.

The casting of Rangoon too had raised the temperature considerably, given the fact that the director had planned on getting on board Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena KapoorKhan. This casting coup, however, could not be pulled off thanks to Kareena's unavailability, and Kangana was finally roped in for the film.

Kangana plays an actor in the film, who is romantically involved with her mentor, played by Saif. Shahid will be seen in the role of a soldier in Rangoon. Shahid and Vishal are working together for the third time, after Kaminey (2009) and Haider (2014), while Saif is collaborating with the director for the second time after Omkara (2006). This is Kangana's first project with Vishal.

The amazing actress with an enviable well-toned physique opted for a Raw Mango creation. Malaika sported a purple shimmer lehenga teamed up with a heavily printed dupatta. The beautiful actress teamed up her look with a statement neck piece and a clutch.

The always drenched in love duo Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra also made their presence at the bash. Fitness conscious actress Shilpa nailed her traditional avatar by opting for Manish Malhotra sari. The diva looked marvelous in the peacock green like nine yards. Shilpa teamed up her look with Bulgari watch and an oversized clutch. Well the actress did not forget to flaunt her love for diamonds as she opted for a statement diamond laden neck piece.

Actress Amrita Arora who is known for her best friendship with Kareena also attended the bash along with husband Shakeel Ladak. Amrita looked all elegant in her red and blue toned anarkali. Apart from the bunch of friends, Kareena’s mother Babita was also spotted.

Jio MAMI 2015 closing ceremony: Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, others grace the film festiva

The closing ceremony of the 17^th edition of Jio MAMI Mumbai film festival was held on 5 November.

Unlike the opening ceremony, the last day event saw a few stars grace the Mumbai Mela. Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Kalki Koechlin, Jackie Shroff, Tisca Chopra, Kiran Rao, Kunal Kapoor, Radhika Apte and many other producers and directors attended the event.

The award-winning movie, "Angry Indian Goddesses", directed by Pan Nalin, was screened on the last day. The film garnered appreciation from all quarters, which has recently earned the BNL People's Choice Award at Rome Film Festival.

While the "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor showed up at the closing ceremony, his co-star Sonam Kapoor was present on Day 2 of the film festival.

As mentioned earlier, the first day (29 October) of Jio MAMI was a star studded affair. It was attended by several Bollywood celebs, including Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Malhotra, Rajkummar Rao, Kangana Ranaut, Huma Qureshi, Abhishek Bachchan, Kalki Koechlin, Aditya Roy Kapur, Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Diana Penty and Radhika Apte.

Vidya, Kalki and Radhika are the regular guests at the Mumbai film festival. The stunning actresses looked gorgeous in all their outfits this week.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s regal look

So, the party has already started for the Khan couple. Yesterday, the couple got all decked up to attend director Sidharth Anand’s pre-Diwali bash and they look, well, spectacular!

Bebo was dressed in white Varun Bahl creation and looked resplendent! While husband Saifoo looked dapper, as usual, in purple and white kurta-churidaar. Hand-in-hand, the couple looked much in love and all geared up to get the festivities started. It is also cute how they colour co-ordinated their outfits! Kareena looks festive yet classy with coordinated danglers with light embellishment of her kurta!

Kareena was all excited as she said that they are looking forward to a lovely evening ahead with good friends and family.

Bebo has just returned from Barcelona (where she was letting her hair down with kids) while Saif on the other hand was in London recently to shoot for Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hain Mushkil which  stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles .

The couple will spend some quality time at home and catch up with each other.
